Ahh, London Fashion Week is over! I had the most incredible time shooting street style throughout the week, and I’m so excited to share my photographs with you all! I’ll be sharing my street style photography this weekend, but for this post, I’ll be presenting my favourite type of photographs: model portraits.
Model portraits are my favourite types of photographs simply due to the engagement that you receive as a photographer from any model. A model’s face serves as a vital part of the fashion industry; it both portrays and represents the intentions of both a designer and their collection. I have long admired models for their ability to bestow character into a given look during a show. This character essentially brings the clothes to life as they move along the runway.
The most well known models of today by the population would be the ‘Instagram Models’, in particular Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. I want to move away from these models in this blog post, and instead praise those who are less well known but are renowned for owning the runway and the camera. I had the pleasure of photographing some of my favourite model faces in fashion this week, and the results are below for you to see! This portrait series is therefore my top faces in fashion at the moment, and the top faces to feature across the biggest shows during London Fashion Week!
Though I really enjoy being photographed for my blog, I absolutely love being behind the lens and creating my own photographic work too! Any comments on my photography in this post would be greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think!
I can’t wait to share my street style photography with you all, so I’ll be back this weekend with my second London Fashion Week post!
Until then,

This has got to be the most unique and interesting take covering LFW! I haven't read a post that focused on portrait model photography, it's generally about the collections themselves and of course, the streestyle. You are so right, I too admire how a model can encompass so many different characters and trait depending on the collection she's showcasing, it really is quite a lot like acting, but in a different form. Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you have a great weekend ahead!
XO,
Jalisa

Thank you so much for your lovely comment Jalisa! I'm so glad you enjoyed the post and found it unique and interesting – it means a lot to me!! I agree; most posts are about the collections and street style (which are both wonderful!), but I enjoyed writing from a different fashion week angle! Thanks again lovely, have a wonderful weekend! .xx
First off, thanks for leaving nice comments on my blog! Second, I really like your photos (I mean as a portrait/fashion photography enthusiast)! It's so cool that you get to take these street portraits of the most famous models currently in the fashion industry! Did you add the grain on purpose? I love it that it looks more retro and washed (if you know what I mean!)
ps What camera and lens are you using? I'm really interested to know!
